Proper Photo Shoot
I have been really lacking high quality photography of these final products and so I finally got chance to shoot them. I wanted a standardised style to the photographs so that my boards would run as a set so I have tried a few here that seem to work really well.
Each set of photographs should show the envelope with the pattern inside, the poster and mailer with the envelope all together and then the mailer and poster together. These seem to be the most successfully layed out images that i get.

Envelopes
These are the envelopes that are going to hold the mailers. I really wanted these to be bold and they have come out really well.
The patterns on the inside have shown up really well and give then envelopes more consideration for design and show a quality that is reflected upon the OU.
Ancient Mountains Mail Out
Printed out envelope for the mailers, working really well, i didnt know if the bold colour would be to much but i think it gives it something extra and would set it apart in your mail box!
The patterns inside have worked really well, giving a little sneak preview of what's to come.
Envelopes
These are the very basic templates for the envelopes for the pop up mailers. They have all used their own individual imagery for the inside of the envelope as well as using their statement colour for the cover of the envelope.
This creates something much more exciting when it comes through someone's door and will get noticed. It also brings them together as a set and gives them a set format to be contextualised in.
Image slider
This is a difficult one, i got a template of the internet and it didn't have a lot of instructions with it so it was a bit of a fill in the gaps kind of thing. But anyway I found 2 spare images and have produced a small mock up!
It seemed to work really well actually but the margins given were really big on one side so i will have to alter that. Think i could use this well with some of the courses that i have been looking at for the OU to give it a really good interactive element.

Stock Printing
It was really difficult choosing stock to print onto for this as most of the tests i did came out very dull with the colour, but i had these papers from Eco Craft and they are made for printing.
I have used a light grey for the cover and a bright yellow for the inside to hopefully emphasis the visual explosion of music waves from inside.

Darwin Final Mailer
After all the trials and testing of this slide out mailer the final product is complete. It functions well and shows the evolution of man as a visual representation to the course and contains all the information on the back.
The stock used is a red matt uncoated stock with a simple greyscale image printer over it. The greyscale could be darker as the uncoated stock has soaked it up a little more than i expected, but its functional and legible and is a successful product.
Alterations Made
Ok we are getting somewhere now, I have changed the design a little to fit more with the message and taken the evolving character of the front so that it appears from the pull out only. I have also designed the title to evolve into each other and become one character.
The back lines up almost perfectly now which is great, really glad!
