Bishops Morris Fianlising

The client was really pleased with the logos that i sent him and has decided to go with the first logo, he has asked to see them in alternative colours so i have sent him these 5 designs to see which one he would prefer and then its just a case of registering it and applying it to some merchandising.

As this is a really quick 1 day brief i have churned out some ideas pretty fast to get them back to the client. The hardest think with this logo was to try and keep it quite traditional as well as something creative. The idea is to use the bishop chess piece shape as a sort of base for the design and incorporate the type and sword shape around it. 

These are the final 5 logos that i have sent of to the client and so will finalize the design when i hear back from him.

Bishops Morris is a local long sword dance morris team from Lincoln. They have asked me to design them a logo as they have just registered as an official morris team and so need a logo and merchandise. Even though Liam did not mention the longsword dance element to the logo i think its an aspect that i want to look into and try to capture some of this traditional dance.
