Rober Smail's was a printing works and stationers from 1847 -1945 and today they are open to the public and kept as a museum to the printing works of Robert Smail. The building has been kept in original layout and condition as it was in the late Victorian times with an office, paper store, composing and press room.
The printing works is still in fully working condition and is kept by the National Trust of Scotland as an industrial heritage site.
This is a great reference for my design context as i can visit the museum and look at an original printing works. Think a trip to Scotland is in order.
