Johanna Bonnevier is a London based Graphic Designer who works within fashion, culture and architecture mostly. Normally most of this work would not be my personal taste but Bonnevier has a style that creates something beautiful and very fitting with the client but all her work has that extra something about it.
This first piece is a very simple layout but has create something beautiful. I love the reversed out typography for the title that dominates the whole layout. Also the one column grid is something that i think can look un considered and here she has really brought it together and both pages sit really well together.
This postcard is for Top Shop and again is simple. I have been looking at designing postcards for designers who normally have a full bleed image on the front and information on the reverse but i was wary of this looking quite generic. But here she has created something that is quite clearly for fashion and you get an idea of the sophistication of the event.
Nicely designed cover to a catalogue, big bold type and the angle of the title and bounding box has created something a bit more fun.
Loving this concentina fold, works perfectly for the images inside and create something much more interesting.
I have been working on business cards for a textile designer and have been in two minds weather to place the logo in the front over an image or keep it on the reverse. Bonnevier has just shown me how it can work with the logo over the image in such a successful way.
How great is this!
paper crafted pixels on large letters for a pixel cone project. well crafted and looks a whole lot of fun.
Using type over image can be awful or beautiful like this. I have started using photography more in my work and found the difficulties in using type over image.
